Physical walls are common sights
everywhere all over the world. All our houses have walls that separate the rooms
and most compounds have walls that demarcate them from one another. A simple
definition of a wall is a barrier or bar: something that separates you from the
other side. Many lives are full of walls or barriers. These walls have
prevented many from reaching their desired destinies. Desired goals are not
attained, desired life is not lived! To some the wall is an incurable disease.
To some it is lack of good means of livelihood. To some it is inability to get
a marriage partner. To some it is unfruitfulness in marriage .To others it is
lack of peace in their lives and homes, etc. Whatever the wall the good news is
that the wall CAN FALL. You can break the barrier, move ahead in life, attain
your goal and reach your destiny. We shall discus two simple steps.
Step 1- LET THE WALL FALL: By this I mean FORCE THE
WALL TO FALL. Yes, you have the power or you just have to grab the power
because it is available to you. The people of Israel on their journey to THE
PROMISE LAND encountered a great wall and so there is no journey to the ‘’promise
land’’ without great walls. If you must get there you must learn to push or
pull down walls. How did the Israelites force the wall down? Let’s see- JOSHUA 6:1-20 (this is a Bible account and
I want you to read it but if you don’t have a Bible please do go get one now)- They
applied God’s Solution to it. They spoke God’s WORD to it. God’s Word is the
most powerful thing on the entire universe. Everything submits to it whether
negative or positive. Everything was made by the power of the WORD! Psalms 33:6 By the word of the LORD were
the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. You
must know what God says concerning your WALL and act accordingly and it shall
crumble before you. Mark 11:23 says ’’
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but
shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall
have whatsoever he saith.’’ All things are possible to him that
believes-Mark 9:23. As I said earlier if you lack the power you can grab it by
giving your life to Jesus.
Step 2-Letting the wall fall:
As we usually say ‘there
is no smoke without fire. There are things that build and empower walls around
us. These things we must be ready to let go. Let’s see what God says- ‘’Proverbs 3:7 -Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from
evil. The root cause of
walls in a man’s life is evil doings- SIN.
Sin builds and empowers them-John
5:14. We must be ready to say bye- bye to sin by giving our life to JESUS
CHRIST who died to save us from our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
and be ready to live a life that is pleasing to God. Then He (GOD) who is ‘mighty
warrior and great in battle’ will become enemy to our enemies and fight for us
and of course no wall can stand before Him.
