INTRODUCTION: NO LIFE IS TOO BROKEN FOR JESUS TO CHANGE
There is something you must understand about Jesus Christ: He does not merely change people's circumstances; He changes people from the inside out.
He can turn sorrow into joy, weakness into strength, sickness into health, fear into faith, confusion into direction, and a life of sin into a life of righteousness.
When Jesus steps into a situation, things can change!
In John 2:1–11, we read about the first recorded miracle of Jesus at a marriage feast in Cana of Galilee. The wine had finished, and the family was facing an embarrassing situation. But when Jesus intervened, the situation changed.
That miracle reveals something powerful about Him: What has finished in your life does not have to be the end of your story.
Perhaps your joy has finished. Perhaps your strength has finished. Perhaps your hope has finished. Maybe you have tried everything you know to do, yet nothing seems to be working.
The good news is that Jesus is still able to transform lives today.
However, we must understand that His greatest purpose is not merely to make life comfortable on earth. He came to reconcile us to God, deliver us from sin, give us eternal life, and transform us into people who live according to His will.
‼️Let us examine how Jesus can change your life, beginning with His miracles and ending with His death and resurrection.
1. JESUS CAN TURN YOUR SHAME INTO JOY
Bible Text: John 2:1–11
At the marriage feast in Cana, the wine finished. In that culture, running out of wine during a wedding celebration could bring embarrassment to the family.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, brought the matter to His attention.
Jesus instructed the servants to fill six water-pots with water. They obeyed, and the water became wine.
John 2:11 tells us that this was the beginning of Jesus' signs, through which He revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
What does this teach us?
First, Jesus cares about human situations.
The problem at the wedding was not a terminal illness or a life-threatening emergency. It was a problem that could bring embarrassment to a family. Yet Jesus intervened.
This reminds us that we can bring our concerns to Him, whether they appear great or small.
‼️Second, Jesus can bring a new beginning out of a difficult situation.
The servants put water into the pots, but what they received was wine. What entered those pots was not what came out!
When Jesus transforms a life, the outcome can be remarkably different from the beginning.
A person who was known for anger can become patient. Someone who lived in immorality can become disciplined. Someone who was hopeless can discover a new purpose in Christ.
Your past does not have to determine your future when you surrender your life to Jesus.
Consider the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1–10. He was a tax collector who had become wealthy, but Jesus' encounter with him produced a change in his attitude towards money and the people he had wronged.
Jesus did not merely visit his house; He brought transformation into his life.
Application to our lives
⁉️ Are you struggling with shame because of your past?
Have you made mistakes that you wish you could undo?
Do you feel that your life has become a disappointment?
Come to Jesus. Confess your sins, receive His forgiveness, and allow Him to lead you into a new way of living.
✋Remember, Jesus does not promise that every embarrassing situation will disappear immediately, but He offers forgiveness, restoration, and the grace to begin again.
When Jesus changes your life, your past becomes part of your testimony, not the master of your future.
