WHAT IS LEFT IS ENOUGH (2)

A man once made a phone call to a man of God-Norman Vincent Peale. He seemed restless and despondent and told the Pastor that he is finished and has nothing left to live for. The man of God invited him to his office. '' Everything is gone, hopeless'', the man told him. ''I am living in deepest darkness. In fact, I've lost heart for living altogether''. Norman Vincent Smiled sympathetically and calmly said, ''Let's take a look at your situation,'' He brought out a sheet of paper, at the middle he drew a vertical line down, dividing it into two. He suggested they list on the left side the things the man  had lost, and on the right the things he had left. '' You won't need that column on the right side.'' the man said sadly. I have nothing left, period.'' Then the man of God asked, '' When did your wife leave you?'' ' What do you mean? She hasn't left me. My wife loves me!'  ''That's great!'' said Peale enthusiastically. Then that will be number one in the right hand column: Wife hasn't left. Then he asked again, '' When were your children jailed? ''That's silly. My children aren't in jail!'' 'Good! that's number two in the right-hand column: children not in jail,'' said Peale as he jots it down. The man of God continued with few more questions along the line and the man finally got the point. Now smiling he said, ''Funny how things change when you think of them that way.    Appreciating what you have will give you a new strength to recover your loses.
Let this mind be in you.
